This year's Festival received an astounding 160 submissions of short films from around the world.  it is heartening as a programmer to recieve so many great submissions to choose from, especially as more and more people echo the refrain "film is dead".

The $100 Proves otherwise.

Out of that 160 odd films, our jury sat down to select the cream of the crop.  it was a tough process, with many wonderful films ending up on the cutting room floor, but that is indeed a good problem to have.

Congratulations to all the filmmakers who made it in to the festival, and a big thank you to all the artists  that shared their works with us.  I look foward to seeing many more submissions from you in the future!
